This week I'm reading Solid by Shelley Workinger. I'm almost done and really enjoying it. Here's my teaser:
I only knew it was in fact Bliss because she'd been standing next to me just seconds before and there hadn't been time or movement enough for her to have switched with anyone else. For a brief moment, she was encased in an unreal glow from the top of her blond locks down to her Sketchers. Then she disappeared completely into the glow, as if a shooting star had taken place of her body, morphing into the same hip-cocked, head-tilted pose.
Bit of a long one, and three sentences, but you needed the full effect with this one. The book is about a group of teens whose mothers were secretly experimented on with a chromosomal drug (while pregnant) by a rogue Army doctor. These teens are the products, and they're brought to a secret military facility to find out what effect the experiments have had on them. Click on the title above to go to the Goodreads page.
Feel free to share your teasers with me. I'd love to see what you're reading.
