I am so very excited for each and every one of these books. I would love to comment on all of them, but that would be difficult and would probably include many (very many) exclamation points and undecipherable text.

Instead, I want YOU to tell ME what you think! Please let me know in the comments!

Title and Cover Reveals

To start things off, Jennifer L. Armentrout, author of the upcoming HALF-BLOOD, released the title of the third book in her Covenant series. I just read DAIMON, the prequel to the series, and it was great. I think it's really a good introduction to the characters and Jennifer's writing style. Check out my review here.

So here's the lineup for the Covenant series:
Book 1: Half-Blood, due for release on October 18, 2011
Book 2: Pure, due for release on April 2, 2012
and as Jennifer just announced, the third book is to be called...

DEITY

It's expected publication date is sometime in November 2012. I can't wait to really get the series started by reading HALF-BLOOD!

Second on the schedule, is the cover reveal for Lauren DeStefano's second novel, FEVER. This is going to be book number 2 in The Chemical Garden Trilogy. The first book, WITHER, came out in March, and I absolutely loved it! Check out my review of it here.

Lauren has been building up to the FEVER cover reveal on her Facebook page for the last few weeks. Finally, on Wednesday, she was able to release the full cover and jacket proof! Check it out:

You'll definitely have to click on that jacket proof and check out the full size. It's awesome. And here's the cover of WITHER so you can compare:

The colour scheme on the FEVER cover is not what I would've imagined. It seems too bright and loud to fit very well, but as Lauren answered on Formspring, the colour scheme actually goes really well with the story. This intrigues me further and now I really can't wait to read it. Since I want to avoid spoilers, check out the Goodreads page for a synopsis!

FEVER comes out in February 2012.

Title and Cover Reveals

There has been a lot of activity around the internet involving title releases and cover releases. Every so often I like to highlight these on my blog. I thought this week would be a good one to sum up what’s been flying around this week.

For starters, Maggie Stiefater, author of the Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy, and Lament and Ballad, has been hinting about this SECRET NOVEL of hers for the past few months. The curiosity has been killing me and I’m sure other Maggie fans have been feeling the same way. All that she’s told us is that it’s about kissing and cliffs and blood and beaches. So apparently Secret Novel is now on sale for pre-order on Amazon, and so the title has been revealed! Secret Novel can now be known as......

THE SCORPIO RACES

We have no idea what it’s about, but the name sounds so cool. Maggie says it’s her favourite book she’s written yet! I think she said we might have a synopsis later in the month! Yay!! Secret Novel A.K.A. The Scorpio Races will be released on OCTOBER 18, 2011!!

**********
Second, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, authors of the Caster Chronicles (Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness), released the name of the third book in the series on Tuesday. It will be called......

BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

Although we don’t know the synopsis yet, I feel like this title will be perfect for what is about to happen. It just seems like it would fit perfectly after the way that Beautiful Darkness ended.

We’re also lucky enough to have tons more Caster Chronicles news this week!
On Thursday, Hollywood Crush announced the release date as well as the cover for Beautiful Chaos. Here is the wonderful title and the release date:

Release date: October 18, 2011

In case you haven’t seen the others, here’s the covers for Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness so you can compare.

Check out my review archive for reviews of these books.

It's totally perfect. I was thinking the colour might have been red, but I really couldn't see in my mind's eye how that would look. This gold looks perfect, though! I'm excited to read it and understand the full meaning of the wrought-iron gate. Check out the article where the reveals took place, here.

Also on Thursday, NextMovie released some new information about the movie adaptation of Beautiful Creatures! My favourite part is that they posted Kami and Margie's fantasy cast!! Go here to check it out and get the all the movie news. (And then come back and tell me if you agree/disagree with their cast!)

Next, we’ve got more cover releases!

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting (author of The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead):

Click here to visit the Goodreads page for a short synopsis, and add it to your wishlist!
THE PLEDGE will be released November 15, 2011.

My favourite part is how it very lightly says PLEDGE in the centre. If you can't see it, it's the PL on one line, then ED on the next and GE on the last. The ED are right in the centre, where the title passes through.

The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab:

Click here to visit the Goodreads page and read the synopsis.
THE NEAR WITCH is due for release on August 2, 2011.

In this one, I love how everything looks so delicate, but she has fear in her eyes. Very beautiful and creepy at the same time.

Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday:

Click here to visit the Goodreads page and read the quick synopsis.
DEADLY COOL is due for release October 1, 2011.

I love the way "Cool" is written in headphone wire, and how blue her eyes are. I'm interested to see how this cover ties in with the story.

Frost by Marianna Baer:

Click here for the synopsis and to add this to your Goodreads wishlist.
FROST is due for release September 13, 2011.

I find that this cover is really captivating. It's such a subdued colour, but it really jumps out at you as well.

The last three books are all written by debut authors in the YA genre (Gemma Halliday has written adult novels). What lucky authors to have their covers be so beautiful! They're really going to get a lot of recognition because of these book covers, in my opinion.

Thanks to those of you who stuck out this LONG post with me! I told you it had been a busy week! I'm so excited that The Scorpio Races and Beautiful Chaos are going to be released on the same day. It'll be right around my reading week, too, so I'll be able to read those instead of schoolwork! Hehe.

What do you think of these titles and covers? Did I miss any recent reveals? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! In fact, I encourage you to!

Title and Cover Reveals

There’s been a few things happening around the blogosphere recently in the YA department. Things I’m very excited about. Like cover reveals and names of sequels to books I love being released. It’s all very exciting. Trust me. I’m going to showcase a few things that made me do a little squeal this week, so be prepared.

For starters, Becca Fitzpatrick announced the title of the third book in her Hush, Hush trilogy. I really like these books. When I read the first one, HUSH, HUSH (review here), I absolutely fell in love with it and with angel stories. It was my first angel story so it gets partial credit for all the ones I read after it. I wasn’t as crazy about the second one, CRESCENDO (review here), but it ended really well and set it up for the third book, which I’m really excited about. Becca had originally called the third book TEMPEST, but later decided it didn’t fit right. So, earlier this week, she announced on FallenArchangel.com that the name of the third book will be….

SILENCE

If you’ve read the first two, well, you’ve probably already heard about the title, but you also know that it fits perfectly. Even if you just put those three together: HUSH, HUSH - CRESCENDO - SILENCE, they fit. It’s eerie in a way… I don’t know how to describe it except that it’s perfect. You can check out Fallen Archangel to read what Becca had to say when she revealed the title. She also announced that it is due for release on October 25, 2011. Mark your calendars. You’ll want to get it ASAP.

Second on the order of business is another title release! If you happened to read my review of Unearthly by Cynthia Hand in late November, you know that I loved it (review here). And Tucker. But that’s another story. The thing that’s now got me all excited is that Cynthia released the title of the second book in her series!! Just yesterday she released on her Twitter that the name of the book will be….

HALLOWED

Cynthia describes the word as something holy and revered. She also says that it’s the title she originally wanted and that she’s so excited HarperTeen agrees with her because it fits the book perfectly. You can check out her blog post here, where she talks about the title and some songs that she connects with the book! Also, she said the cover reveal is due for May 2011. Not much longer, now!

**********

Lastly, Jennifer L. Armentrout is the author of the upcoming novel Half-Blood, due for release on September 15, 2011 (see my Waiting on Wednesday about it here). It looks like a really great book and I’m super excited for it. I also learned yesterday that Half-Blood is part of a series and that Jennifer wrote the first two books simultaneously. The second one is to be called Pure, which I think fits perfectly after Half-Blood. Her big news yesterday came when she “revealed” the cover for Pure! I was actually really surprised it was out already because Half-Blood isn’t due out for another 8 months and Pure isn’t due until sometime in 2012! Either way, the cover is stunning, just as is the one for Half-Blood.

And if you want to compare the covers, here’s the one for Half-Blood (you can click on it to see it larger).
I honestly think they’re both so beautiful. Definitely some of my favourites covers. You can check out Jennifer’s blog here where she mentioned the new cover.

I hope you like how I feature new covers and titles that I hear about in the blogosphere. I figure that most people have already seen the new covers or heard about new titles by the time I make these posts, but I still like to sum them up at the end of the week and give my thoughts. Let me know what you think of these new reveals!
