"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcases upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating!
I first heard about it from PageTurnersBlog.
My Waiting on Wednesday this week is:
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publication Date: September 15, 2011
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi—pure-bloods—have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals—well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she’s crushing hard on the pure-blooded Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn’t her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.
For starters, check out that cover. No, don’t just look at it. Click on and see the full image. You need to. I’ll wait while you do that…Back now? What do you think? I think it’s awesome. It looks so magical and the purple is so strong! I can’t wait to see what it looks like in reality.
The plot itself really interests me. Forbidden love. The fear of what is to come in the future. Gods and mortals combined. All in all, I’m pretty excited for this book and am really looking forward to it!
What are upcoming releases are you looking forward to?
