In My Mailbox (12)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme that gives bloggers a chance to share what books they've received in the last week. It's hosted by The Story Siren and you can find out more info about it here.

Here's what's in my mailbox this week!

For review
Solid by Shelley Workinger (from author)
{Goodreads | Book Depository}

The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab (from publisher through NetGalley)
{Goodreads | preorder from Book Depository}

If I haven't said how much I love authors, then here it comes!! Shelley contacted me last week because I had added SOLID to my to-read list on Goodreads and she wanted to know if I wanted a copy of it. Her second novel, SETTLING (sequel to SOLID) is coming out this summer and she was clearing out proof copies of SOLID, so she offered a copy to me. I have to admit, I totally fangirled. A lot. I've never had an author contact me asking if I wanted a copy of their book before (Proof that I'm still a newbie blogger, clearly). If this doesn't prove to you that authors are amazing, check this out, too:

YEAH. SHE SIGNED IT TOO. More fangirling definitely happened when I opened this up. This is my first signed book, too! Man I feel like SUCH a newbie!

Anyway, even though my mailbox only gave me two books this week, I am so happy with what I got! I can't wait to read these books, they sounds awesome.

What did you get this week?

  1. Congrats on getting your first signed book and The Near Witch.

    Happy reading!

  2. Wow, thats awesome about Solid.
    I've had The Near Witch on my to buy list for months, the release date seems so far away
    Hope you enjoy your new books :)

  3. New follower coming through IMM! :)

    As soon as Netgalley brings the Kindle function back I'm going to get through the current galleys I've already been approved for and then check out The Near Witch. It sounds really great! And, wow, Shelley Workinger is awesome for doing that!

    Have a great week!
