"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcases upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating!
This week I'm waiting on:
Fever (Chemical Garden #2)
by Lauren DeStefano
Publication Date: February 21, 2012
**WARNING: SPOILERS!**
Synopsis:
Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.
Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.
The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion... by any means necessary.
In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.
From Goodreads
Why I want it: I absolutely LOVED WITHER when I read it in the Spring (check out my review here). I can't wait to see where the story will take Rhine next. I bet it'll be exciting and dangerous.
I also chose to feature this for my WoW today because Lauren announced (on Twitter and FB) that WITHER has been optioned for film! *throws confetti* I can't wait to see this on the big screen. I hope they do it justice.
What upcoming releases are you looking forward to?
I still have to read Wither. I've put it off so long that I might just wait until right before the release of Fever, so I don't have to wait as long.

I don't think I'm ever going to read Wither, being that the premise creeps me out. Like the shiver-inducing kind. But the covers are fabulous! I'd love to own them.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing reading week!

I didn't love Wither, so I'll be passing on this one, but I know many are excited.

Great pick! I just picked up Wither at the library on Monday so hopefully I'll be excited for Fever like everyone else after I read Wither!
